Nkuringo Gorilla Camp

Nkuringa gorilla camp is found on Nteko ridge, 2161m above sea level overlooking a beautiful swath of the world renowned Bwindi impenetrable national park. This Nteko ridge offers a superb vantage across the kashasha river valley to the breath taking, conical peaks of the Virunga volcanoes and the surrounding canopy of the Bwindi forest, the home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

This camp is facilitated with a travel desk, restaurant and a fully stocked bar, lounge area, laundry services, craft shop and on site wildlife viewing
Room description
Accommodation at this camp site includes Bandas, rooms, safari tents, en suite cottages and a camp site for visitors with their own tents. Paraffin lanterns provide light and the shared bathroom facility like two bush showers and two eco toilets and hot water is prepared for bathing on request. In summary, this camp site has 2 en suites, 5 twin rooms with shared bathrooms, 1 twin Banda with shared bathroom, safari tents and camping with own equipments.

Activities
The location of this camp in the forest is a home to the Nkuringo group of gorillas and is strategically located to see them close up. This camp also offers walking safaris through the forest to the village of Buhoma where visitors can enjoy bird watching. Forest walks through Bwindi to Buhoma, gorilla tracking, visit to the Batwa, Nkuringo village walks with cultural performances and demonstrations, multi day trek to Kisoro via Lake Mutanda and canoeing on Lake Mutanda.
